Why choose natural yarns?

Wool is good for the environment

It is natural, renewable, and biodegradable. When it decomposes in soil, it releases nutrients into the earth. It biodegrades very quickly, unlike synthetic yarns, which take many years to decompose.

Wool is resistant to mold & mildew

As we know, mold and mildew need a damp atmosphere to thrive on. Wool does not provide this as it naturally wicks away any moisture.

Wool is 100% natural

It is grown all year round on sheep who are kept in natural conditions with access to grass, water, sunshine and fresh air.

Wool reacts to changes in body temperature

It has the amazing ability to react to body temperature, so it keeps you warm in Winter and cool in Summer.

Natural yarns biodegrade much more quickly than synthetic yarns

Synthetics such as acrylic take up to 200 years to biodegrade, compared to a yarn such as T shirt recycled yarn which takes no more than 6 months to fully biodegrade, and linen which takes a similar time to T shirt cotton yarn.
