From cocoon to caterpillar

Today we saw a caterpillar emerging out of its cocoon and taking in its new life as it evolved. We watched as it pushed itself out of its cocoon, bit by bit. We saw how tired it got as it tried to release itself and stopped to gets its energy back.
And I thought, this is just like us. We push ourselves so hard, every day. Maybe we humans just need to go back to basics like the caterpillar, to stop when things get difficult, re-energise, re-group, and try again when we are feeling stronger.
We left it alone in the garden and returned a while later to find the empty cocoon and the caterpillar sliding away in the grass, off to enjoy its new life.
Perhaps we can learn from this. We can't do it all at once; we need time to slow down, de-compress, and then try the steps again. This is what I plan to do now. If my website is misbehaving, the coding doesn't work, and I get frustrated with it, I will stop, breathe and come back to it when I am less tired and grumpy.
Just like the caterpillar.
